v1.2.2 overview​

Via-B v1.2.2 repairs Windows installation on machines without a system-wide Microsoft Visual C++ runtime. It also removes files left by the retired Animated Arrows module during upgrades.

v1.2.2 changes​

  • The Windows package includes the six Microsoft-signed runtime libraries required by Via-B's private PostgreSQL database.
  • Windows upgrades remove the retired Animated Arrows module directory.
  • The installed package starts PostgreSQL and loads the intended eight modules.

v1.2.2 operator impact​

  • A clean Windows installation can start its private database without a separate Visual C++ runtime installation.
  • Existing installations keep their application data while obsolete module files are removed.
  • Automatic Windows updates may stop at an installer-language dialog. v1.2.3 fixes this limitation.

v1.2.2 validation​

  • Clean installation and upgrade checks started the private database and backend.
  • The installed application reported healthy and loaded all eight shipped modules.
  • All five published installers match the immutable v1.2.2 package.
